The elementary years are a time when students begin to develop their academic self-concept and their feelings of competence and confidence as learners. They are beginning to develop decision-making, communication and life skills, as well as character values. It is also a time when students develop and acquire attitudes toward school, self, peers, social groups, and family.
The IGSC Elementary Section provides a learning environment for students which is nurturing and secure. This atmosphere of success will enable each child to reach his or her potential in a global society. We, at the school, respect the diversity of our children, accommodate differences in learning skills, and ensure quality and equity for all.
Our school is a safe place to learn, and the school faculty care about their students. At IGSC we encourage our students to achieve their goals by providing them all with equal learning opportunities and, therefore, be able to do their best in the world.
IGSC is a place where the whole school community of students, parents, teachers, and the principal, all, actively participate in learning and encouraging everyone to build on strengths in the pursuit of excellence.

Students of the 21st Century must have more than a passing understanding of different cultures, appreciate histories of different countries and recognize the importance of their boundaries. We at IGSC, encourage students to develop communication skills, self discipline, problem solving abilities and respect for themselves, others and society. We live in a rapidly changing world where the certainties of the past no longer hold firm. Technology is advancing at an almost unimaginable pace and the world has turned into a global village. This has created significant challenges for education as we need to ensure that our children have the skills and knowledge to not just cope but excel in these conditions. IGSC delivers high quality education through rigorous and challenging classroom activities using audio-visual aids and the multimedia. The academic staff at IGSC is sensitive to the fact that the middle school students are in transition from childhood to adolescence and may have unique emotional and academic needs – each student is given individual care and attention and is made to feel someone “special”.
